With a career spanning just over 20 years, Adam Miller had early beginnings as a solo guitar virtuoso, that led to session playing, producing, mix & master engineer, university educator, and everything in between, but his vision of creating instrumental guitar music has never lost focus. He has toured the globe, performing in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Japan, Australia & even Afghanistan for the Australian and Allied Forces. Miller has shared stages with Les Paul, Tommy Emmanuel, Samantha Fish, Mike Stern, Charlie Hunter, Tomo Fujita, Adam Levy, Matt Schofield, Mason Stoops, Molly Miller, Josh Smith, Joey Landreth, Russell Morris, Ariel Posen, Tony McManus, Ben Gillies (Silverchair), Chris Cheney (The Living End) amongst so many others. With glowing coverage in guitar & music press around the world, the 2002 Australian Fingerstyle Guitar Champion even has his own signature model guitar from Nik Huber Guitars.

Australian Instrumental guitarist Adam Miller released his 10th full-length album, TIMING, on April 18, 2025 and went to #5 on the Australian Independent Record charts. Recorded in Los Angeles with the exceptional Joel Gottschalk on Bass and Justin Glasco on Drums, this album was recorded in just 5 hours before the trio performed a show in LA on the same day! It features the singles What I Want To Hear, Light And Shadows, and Moving Pianos.

Adam’s LA-based trio of Joel Gottschalk on Bass (Kate Hudson, May Erlewine, Phillip Sayce), & Justin Glasco on Drums (Paris Paloma) have developed a tight musical relationship after doing many shows & coffees around Los Angeles over the past 7 years, which is highlighted on TIMING, their third album together – the trio was also featured on Unify (2020) & Beyond Reason (2023). This recording was intended to be part of a larger project, but the trio got through more music than initially intended, and with the speed of the recording process it developed a unique sound that needed to stand alone. With only a few hours to record, you’re hearing a spontaneous reaction to the new and reworked music, all live in one room, with no overdubs!

Miller originally from Newcastle Australia, was based in Los Angeles, California for a time, and spent the better part of the last two decades performing throughout the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Japan, & Australia. Miller has feature articles in The Fretboard Journal, Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar, Premier Guitar, Acoustic UK, Australian Guitar, Australian Musician, and so many more. In 2013 his album “Delayed” was named Top 10 Albums of 2012 by US Acoustic Guitar Magazine. He was also named in the top 25 Future Legends in Australian Guitar Magazine. He has also been featured on many YouTube channels, including the esteemed ‘That Pedal Show’.

Having 10 independent releases to his name, many that have gone on to international acclaim, Miller is also signed to US label SideHustle Records (owned by Charlie Hunter) for his album Beyond Reason. He has an instructional guitar video with the US label ‘TrueFire’, and has lectured in Jazz and Contemporary Guitar at the University Of Newcastle, Australia.
